In February 2003, we created the first Playas del Coco / Ocotal Beach Phone Directory and distributed gratis. The directory very quickly became an active tool for local businesses as well as individuals living in the area. We received tremendous positive feedback with many requests for a more extensive phone book covering a larger region.

We have created the Gold Coast Phone Book in part due to the fact that it is often next to impossible to locate telephone numbers for local businesses and or persons here in Costa Rica as numbers are quite often registered in another company or person’s name.

The new phone book covers the areas of Pez Vela, Ocotal, Playas del Coco, Hermosa, Panama, Penisula Papagayo, Sardinal and also includes Comunidad, Guardia and parts of Liberia. This will benefit not only locals but also businesses and tourists visiting the area.

There are 2 sections; the white pages include personal listings and the yellow pages contain commercial listings under their appropriate categories. We have included an Index by First Name in the white pages as most people are known by their first name; followed by the family surname section.

We include for your convenience emergency and services numbers as well as the local bus schedule, international and national flight information, information on the Liberia Airport, tips for tourists including how-to-use, where-to-buy and costs for telephone cards here in Costa Rica and a calendar for easy reference.

Currently there are 6000 copies printed with 2500 copies distributed in this area and the remaining copies will be distributed to peripheral areas.
